Obion County Board of Education

Preliminary Matters:

The Obion County Board of Education will meet in regular session May 18, 2009 at Black Oak Elementary School at 7:00 p.m. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., a public hearing will be held to accept comments on the Crisis Management Plan. The school will provide a meal beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Items of Note:

During student/staff recognition, the following will be recognized:

• Teachers granted tenure at the April 13, 2009 Board meeting
• South Fulton High School Band
• Obion County Central High School Beta Club

Graduation ceremonies for South Fulton and Obion County Central High Schools are scheduled for May 22, 2009 beginning at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.

Classes will not be held on May 25, 2009 in observance of Memorial Day. The last day of classes is scheduled for May 29, 2009, which will be a half (½) day.

Consent Agenda (Item VI.):

The consent agenda consists of the Monthly Personnel Report, the Report of Substitute Teachers, and the Monthly Financial Reports/Business Activity.

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of all items listed on the consent agenda.
